1. Your options

You control your data in Muza. There are three levels of deletion:

OptionWhat it doesWhere
Delete individual itemsRemoves a project, character, brand asset, document, chat or Output from your account and, where applicable, from the cloudInside the relevant screen of the App
Clear app dataRemoves your cloud profile data, files you uploaded for AI processing, and all local content on the device, but keeps your account (if you have one) so that you can sign in again. If you use Muza without an account, this is the way to delete the cloud data linked to your installationSettings > Personal Data > Clear app data
Delete accountPermanently deletes your account and the personal data associated with it (see Section 3)Settings > Personal Data > Delete account

2. How to delete your account

2.1 In the App (recommended).

1.    Open Muza and go to Settings (the profile icon).

2.    Tap Personal Data.

3.    Tap Delete account.

4.    Confirm your identity when asked (you may need to sign in again with Apple, Google or your email and password).

5.    Read the warnings and confirm.

Your account is deactivated immediately and the deletion process starts. You will be signed out on all devices.

2.2 By email. If you cannot access the App (for example because you no longer have the device), email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account with the subject "Delete my account". We may ask you to confirm details of your account or a recent purchase to verify that the request comes from you, and we may decline requests that we cannot verify, to protect you against deletion by someone else. We will confirm by email when deletion has been completed.

2.3 Before you delete: cancel your Subscription separately. Deleting your Muza account does not cancel a Subscription purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the App Store Provider will continue to charge you until you cancel it there. Cancel first:

2.4 Before you delete: export what you want to keep. Deleting your account forfeits all unused Muza Credits (Plan Credits, Credit Packs and Bonus Credits) without refund, except where a refund is required by law, and permanently removes your projects, Outputs and other content stored in your account. Export anything you want to keep before deleting your account; it cannot be recovered afterward, and we have no obligation to retain or restore it.

3. What is deleted

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify the following personal data within 30 days of your request (copies in backups are deleted within 90 days):

We also send deletion requests to the service providers that hold personal data for us (for example analytics, crash-reporting and email tools) where their tools allow it, or their data expires under their retention periods described in the Privacy Notice. AI Providers delete request data under their own retention periods (typically immediately or within up to 30 days). Content stored only on your device (local projects) is removed when you delete the App or use "Clear app data".

4. What is not deleted, and why

Account deletion removes the personal data that identifies you as a user. It does not remove the following, which we keep on the legal bases and for the periods described in Section 10 of the Privacy Notice:

4.1 Public information about businesses, brands and social media accounts. Information that we obtained from publicly available sources in the course of providing the Service, such as the public profile details, public posts and public metrics of social media accounts (including your own public account and the Reference Accounts you selected), publicly available information about businesses and brands (including names, websites and public descriptions), and the analyses, benchmarks, trends, statistics and other results derived from that public information, is not part of your account data. We may retain it in our caches and databases for the periods stated in the Privacy Notice, use it in aggregated or de-identified form to operate and improve the Service, and collect it again from public sources in the course of providing the Service to other users (for example when another user selects a public account as a Reference Account). This information is public by nature and is not created from your private uploads (the personalized profile analysis, strategy and content plan stored in your account are deleted under Section 3). Where such information identifies you personally and you object to its processing, you may contact [email protected] as described in Section 6.4 of the Privacy Notice, and we will remove cached data about you subject to our legal obligations.

4.2 Records we must keep. Purchase and Credit records (transaction identifiers, product, price, date, Subscription status), for the period required by tax and accounting law and to handle refunds, chargebacks and disputes; records of your consents and of your deletion request, to demonstrate compliance; and support correspondence, for up to 3 years.

4.3 Security and fraud prevention data. A hashed device or installation identifier and records of violations of the Terms of Service, to prevent abuse and enforce bans, for up to 2 years.

4.4 Aggregated and de-identified data. Statistics, usage data and other information that no longer identifies you, which we may keep and use without limitation.

4.5 Information subject to a legal hold. Information that we must retain because of a court order, a legal obligation, an investigation, an ongoing dispute or a claim, until the matter is closed.

4.6 Content you have already exported or published. Content that you exported to your device or published on social media or elsewhere is outside our control and is not affected by deletion of your account.

4.7 Data held by independent controllers. Apple, Google, payment processors, social media platforms and other independent controllers keep their own records of your purchases, sign-ins and interactions under their own policies; you can manage those with them directly.

5. Can I cancel a deletion?

Because deletion starts immediately, we cannot guarantee that it can be stopped. If you change your mind, contact [email protected] as soon as possible; if the data has not yet been erased, we may be able to restore your account. Otherwise you are welcome to create a new account, but previous content, Credits and Subscriptions cannot be transferred to it, and previous promotional offers or trials may not be available again.

6. Timing and limits

Deletion is normally completed within 30 days of a verified request, and backup copies are overwritten within 90 days. We may extend these periods where required by law, where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, or where we need to complete a security, fraud or abuse investigation, and we will tell you if that is the case. Deletion of an account does not release you from obligations that arose before deletion, including payment obligations, and does not affect the provisions of the Terms of Service that survive termination.

7. Requests about other people's data

If your face, voice or name was used in Muza by another user without your consent, contact [email protected] (see the Copyright, Content & DMCA Notice). If you object to the processing of your public profile data as a Reference Account, contact [email protected] (see Section 6 of the Privacy Notice).
